Nice stuff schools say about our visits!
“It was the best author talk I have ever been to. It was a performance which totally engaged all the children. They have such different genres and cater for such a wide audience. The children loved the way Kate and Jol acted out the characters as well as having the book up for everyone to see.” – Goulburn East.
“The author visit yesterday was the most engaging one I have been to. Kate and Jol were enthusiastic about reading and how it links to writing. They captured their audience from the beginning. They modelled how to be a great writer and how to read with enthusiasm, expression, prosody and intonation – excellent for our little readers and writers. They were very responsive to questions from both students and adults. We would love to have you back at Alawa!”
Assistant Principal – Alawa Primary School, NT.
“Thank you so much for today! I had so many teachers and students saying how much they loved it and thanked me for arranging you to come in. I will look forward to seeing your new adventures - we absolutely are fans of ALL your books!!” Kelly Fox – Narraweena PS
"Immensely engaging and able to magically captivate even the most reluctant readers and writers. Four months down the track, there is still a queue to borrow Kate & Jol's books from the library! A must-see author for Stage 1 & Stage 2 students."
– Karen McBride, Primary Librarian, International Grammar School
“Kate and Jol were fantastic — they knew just how to captivate a Year 3 and 4 audience! Their presentation was inspiring, full of laughs, funny voices, insights into their writing process and got the students excited about exploring the Temples’ books and read more widely. We will definitely be having them back.”
– Emily Sze - Librarian Shore Prep
“Kate and Jol Temple's visit was the highlight of our Book Week celebrations. They engaged, entertained and amused our Prep to Year 6 students with their amazing books. Students were inspired to love books and to share their own creative ideas. After their visit their books flew off the borrowing shelves and students are already reserving their new releases.”
– Helen Luke - Librarian Shellharbour Anglican
